DELTA Steel Technologies, Irving, Texas, recently commissioned a Cut-To-Length line for Stainless and Aluminum at Olympic Metals in Englewood, Colorado. Olympic Metals acquired the CTL from another Reliance Steel & Aluminum affiliate, Reliance Metalcenter in Union City, California. DELTA was responsible for the tear out and shipment of the equipment back to their facilities in Irving, Texas. Upon arrival, DELTA’s experienced and well-versed team completely overhauled and refurbished the CTL to a like-new state, and then shipped it to Englewood for installation.
The line has the capability of processing coils up to up to 60” (1524 mm) wide and thicknesses up to .179” (4.5 mm). In addition to the refurbishment of the original equipment, Delta also integrated several new components such as a new PVC/Paper applicator and a new electrical control system. The new components, in addition to the equipment refurbishment, provided a complete line with all the efficiency and reliability benefits of a new line at a fraction of the cost. Job after job, DELTA’s refurbishment services have proven to be a surefire way to lower capital invest costs while maintaining the same quality and productivity companies expect when buying new.
